The Records and Compliance manager handles VUPD paperwork for internal and external usage. They keep the department recorders in compliance with state and federal laws. Our recorders unit is proud to be near paperless, helping the campus and our environment.
Generally, Valparaiso University records are not subject to Indiana’s Access to Public Records Act (“APRA”) because it is a private, religious organization. However, the Valparaiso University Police Department (VUPD) makes available for inspection certain records relating to arrests or incarcerations for criminal offenses that were created after July 1, 2016. In order to request records from the University, you must submit an APRA request by accessing the form below.
