Our community
All CBA classes and faculty offices are located in Urschel Hall so we have a tight-knit community focused on professional and personal growth. Urschel is a wireless facility equipped with state-of-the-art electronic classrooms.

Dive right in
At Valpo, freshmen are able to take classes in the CBA – an opportunity not always available at other institutions. This gives you a leg up as you begin your career path. You will also be linked with an upperclass mentor for a smooth transition from high school to college business classes.

Real life, real time
You will graduate from the CBA with "real life" experience via an internship. This requirement puts your book learning to the test while helping you make contacts you can use after graduation. Internships can be done overseas or at home, during a semester or over a summer. If you’re an international business major you’ll get global experience during a semester studying abroad.

Know your strengths
Our nationally and internationally recognized Assessment Center evaluates student performance on realistic business tasks. During your sophomore, junior and senior years, assessors will observe you in "real world" simulations like oral presentations or group decision-making and offer immediate feedback on your communication, leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities. Armed with this professional evaluation, you will know your strengths along with areas for improvement.
