In Memoriam: The Passing of Professor Walter Wangerin, Jr.

With great sadness, the Valparaiso University Department of English, alumni, and friends mourn the death of Walter Wangerin, Jr., Senior Research Professor and former Emil and Elfriede Jochum Chair and English and Theology Professor. Professor Wangerin, Jr. touched many lives as a writer, teacher, pastor, and storyteller. He died surrounded by his family on August 5, 2021.
