The international studies department’s high-quality faculty have years of experience working abroad, and they come together from across departments to offer students an in-depth and comprehensive education in ethnology, cultural awareness, foreign language, history, political science, and economics. Each student will engage with expert faculty mentors in a senior research project.
Studying abroad provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the culture and language they are studying. International internships are available through many programs. Financial aid applies toward a student’s time abroad, and scholarships are available for traveling expenses. The only requirement to study abroad is that a student be at least a sophomore and in good academic standing.
