Cortney McDonald

Cortney Carey ’18 McDonald ’26 MBA is the assistant director of marketing at Valparaiso University, where she provides strategic contributions in content development, brand alignment, and storytelling. She joined the University’s marketing team in 2020 as assistant director of creative services and was appointed to her current role in 2025.

Her work is informed by a long-standing connection to the institution. In 2017 and 2018, while completing her undergraduate degree, she served as a graphic designer for the Center for the Arts, where she gained early experience in visual communication and institutional storytelling. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Valpo in 2018 and is currently pursuing her master of business administration (MBA), expected in 2026.
