Graduate Scholarships
Your academic record can help make a Valpo graduate degree more affordable. Merit scholarships are awarded based on your undergraduate GPA and program, ranging from 10-20% of tuition. There’s no separate application. If you receive an award, you’ll see it on your admission letter, and it renews each semester you’re enrolled as long as you maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) in that same program.
Program Eligibility
The following programs are not eligible for merit scholarships:
- Master of Healthcare Administration
- Master of Physician Assistant
- Master of Public Health, online pathway (on-campus MPH remains eligible)
- Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy
- Post-Master Doctor of Nursing Practice
- Graduate certificate programs
Students should also file the FAFSA to maximize all aid options. Use Valpo’s school code (001842).

Estimate Your Cost
The Net Price Calculator helps prospective students and families estimate the cost of attending Valparaiso University after grants and scholarships. Based on recent student award data, it provides an estimate of financial aid and remaining costs to help families plan ahead.
These estimates are not guarantees of aid, and students must still complete all admissions and financial aid requirements by the appropriate deadlines. Families with unusual financial circumstances are encouraged to contact the Office of Financial Aid for assistance.
