An effort is under way to renew and enhance the Chapel of the Resurrection, which for more than half a century has stood as a central symbol of Lutheran character and mission at Valparaiso University.
The Chapel of the Resurrection Fundraising Initiative: Our Future in Faith is an undertaking designed to prepare the chapel for dynamic ministry in the years ahead. According to President Mark A. Heckler Ph.D., the Chapel of the Resurrection stands "as the centerpiece of campus and the heart of worship, service, leadership, and reconciliation for the campus community."
Offices for Chapel staff have been relocated to the Kathleen and Mark Helge Center, adjacent to the Chapel. To reserve space for either the Chapel or Helge Center, contact Deb Garbukas, (219) 464-5093.

Candlelight Evening Prayer is each Sunday evening at 10 p.m. with University Pastor Charlene M. Rachuy Cox.
Ash Wednesday is Feb. 10th. There are three services at the Chapel -- 7 a.m., 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.

When classes are in session, there are eight regular opportunities a week for worship at the Chapel. Begin your week with Sunday morning worship at 10 a.m.
The single most frequent worship opportunity is Morning Prayer, a 20-minute service that begins at 10 a.m. each class day. Worship styles change from day to day, season to season, with music ranging from ancient to contemporary.
