An effort is under way to renew and enhance the Chapel of the Resurrection, which for half a century has stood as a central symbol of Lutheran character and mission at Valparaiso University.
The Chapel of the Resurrection Fundraising Initiative: Our Future in Faith is an undertaking designed to prepare the chapel for dynamic ministry in the years ahead. According to President Mark A. Heckler Ph.D., the Chapel of the Resurrection stands "as the centerpiece of campus and the heart of worship, service, leadership, and reconciliation for the campus community."
Welcome to Holy Week at the Chapel. Check out this week's services. Join us this Easter Sunday for morning worship with Holy Communion at 10 a.m. in the main chapel. Rev. Charlene M. Rachuy Cox preaches and Rev. Brian Johnson presides. Candlelight Evening Prayer is at 10 p.m.
Worship isn't just for Sunday mornings. When classes are in session, options at the Chapel include 20 minutes of daily Morning Prayer (10 a.m.) Monday through Friday, Celebrate! and Candlelight services. Read more about the chapel experience.
