Master of Health Administration

The Master of Health Administration is a 42- to 45-credit program of study conveniently located in Chicago’s Hyde Park community and available remotely in Valparaiso through online streaming. The program was developed to meet the demands of students in Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area. The Hyde Park location is close to downtown on 55th street and shares a campus with the Lutheran School of Theology Chicago.

The interdisciplinary Master of Health Administration program is designed to prepare students and professionals for careers and advancement in health administration. Professionals trained at Valpo will be prepared to assume leadership roles in this growing, yet changing enterprise and will bring a background that helps them deal with the current and forthcoming ethical challenges of medicine and health care.

Of specific relevance to establishing a master’s program in health administration at Valpo is the Lutheran longstanding tradition of active engagement in health issues — through hospitals, nursing homes, other healthcare facilities, and indemnity programs. This program is specifically designed for professionals in health care as well as new entrants to the field.
