Faculty Development Activities

The Office of the Provost leads in creating and managing faculty development programs by seeking funding from outside sources, by advancing the work of faculty committees that oversee faculty development activities (e.g., the Committee on Creative Work and Research and the Committee to Enhance Learning and Teaching), and by organizing faculty development activities through CITAL (formerly VITAL) to improve the teaching/learning environment of the University.

The Office of the Provost also provides an annual report to the Faculty Senate, usually at its September meeting, on the state of faculty development activities at Valparaiso University, including a list of all continuing or completed programs as well as a brief description of possible future projects.
