New Media - Journalism

If you want to be a news reporter or editor for the Internet, television, radio or cable, this is your major. It is also the one to pick if you are interested in new media such as Web-based communication and Internet streaming audio and video.

The practice of journalism has changed greatly following widespread adoption of Web-based information delivery. Now, while writing is still the core skill, news reporters should expect to be involved in aspects of Web-based news delivery and graphics. That's the "New Media" part of this major's title.
