Counseling Services offers a broad range of preventative, remedial, and developmental services to the Valparaiso University community. Our mission is to promote the psychological well-being of students, so as to enhance their healthy decision-making and overall functioning. Counseling Services assists students in overcoming personal issues that may negatively impact their ability to be successful and to make the most out of their experience at Valparaiso University. In addition, Counseling Services works with staff and faculty to improve the quality of the living and learning environment of their students. Counseling Services consists of the Counseling Center, the Office of Alcohol and Drug Education, and the Sexual Assault Awareness and Facilitative Education Office.
